Cruise the Fountain Benefits the Food Bank
As part of the 17th annual Cruise the Fountain Car Show held at the Calhoun County Fairgrounds on July 6 and 7 - the community of Marshall and beyond came out
in full force and helped feed many people in their community.
This event, produced by BDP Network and Big Dogg’s House of Hot Rods, affiliates of Cruis’in on Chrome, featured an antique market, vintage campers, unique
vendors and merchants and a pin-up/rockabilly contest. New this year, they added a food drive to benefit the Food Bank of South Central Michigan. They collected
over 1,000 pounds of food at the event!
“The outpouring of support was really great to see,” said Marsha Keefer, Food Souring Manager at the Food Bank. “These grassroots food drives are one of the
ways that show how much a community cares.”
Big thanks to the Calhoun County Fairgrounds, Big Dogg’s House of Hot Rods and BDP Network for their support of the Food Bank and their work in the community
fighting hunger.
The Food Bank of South Central Michigan serves a 285 member hunger-relief network, helping area families in Barry, Branch, Calhoun, Hillsdale, Jackson,
Kalamazoo, Lenawee and St. Joseph counties. The Food Bank is a member of Feeding America and the Food Bank Council of Michigan. The Food Bank is also a
